👑 Kongens Utsikt
We started the trip from Kleivstua and after a leisurely walk of around 20-30 minutes, we arrived at King's View. From here you can look out over Tyrifjorden, Steinsfjorden and the whole of Ringerike. On a clear day, you can even see Gaustatoppen on the horizon! The children were impressed by how far you could see - and we adults enjoyed the silence and nature.
🚶♂️ Natur og fotturer
The hiking trail up Krokkleiva is an experience in itself. This is part of Bergen's old royal road, and along the way you'll find cultural monuments, information boards and beautiful scenery. For the children, it was an exciting mix of adventure and history, while we adults got a good dose of exercise.
We also took a small detour to The queen's viewwhich provides a different but equally beautiful perspective of the fjord and the cultural landscape. Perfect for an extra photo break and some photography.
🌿 Felles naturreservat
Krokkleiva is located in a nature reserve with rare plants and rich flora. The children had fun looking for special flowers, while we learned more about the nature around us. Walking here feels like being in the middle of a living outdoor museum.
🧺 Matpause med utsikt
At the top there are benches and a shelter, so we brought a packed lunch and ate with a panoramic view. We had cocoa, slices of bread and some chocolate - everything tastes better in the fresh air!
